The Custom LED Blinker Genie for motorcycles is designed to allow single filament light bulbs, and single intensity LED lamps, to function as both running lights AND blinkers on Motorcycles!
This Blinker Genie is designed for use on Motorcycles. For Automobile applications check out our Blinker Genie 2! We also have new Application Specific Blinker Genie's which come pre-wired for some applications!
Most aftermarket LED blinkers support only a two wire connection, which means they can only be used as either a running light, or a blinker light. The Blinker Genie solves this problem, and intelligently controls the lamp to function as BOTH a running light and a blinker!
Properly connect any two-wire incandescent or LED indicators to the Custom LED Blinker Genie, and your indicator bulbs/LEDs will now stay on constantly as running lights, and blink when you engage the blinkers! (Note: the indicator will turn off for the duration of the blinker pulse - this is how the blinking is achieved.)
The Custom LED Blinker Genie is designed to be as small as possible while being as versatile and robust as possible. The finished dimensions of the unit will measure approximately 0.7" x 1.25" X 0.25" and can support up to 12A of current (see specifications)! This ensures our product will work for any application (blinking your headlights individually, or powering one single LED lamp for instance). To further ease installation and ensure dependability, the Custom LED Blinker Genies are water resistant.
Each Blinker Genie controls up to 2A worth of lamps in the recommended configuration. The Blinker Genie's are sold IN PAIRS. One will be required for each side of the motorcycle, and for every 2A worth of operated indicator load (25W).
For most applications, they are used in the front to drive two wire LED indicators. Technically, if you ran wires to the back, you could control the rear blinker lamps with the Blinker Genies as well. However, it is recommend that you use one Blinker Genie for each "corner" of the vehicle.
The Blinker Genie comes with 7" wires, butt-connectors and detailed installation instructions! Please read the important notes in the Installation Tab for other accessories that may be required to maintain proper function of the blinker system after installing the Blinker Genie.

You will most likely experience the fast-blink rate if you install the Blinker Genie on your motorcycle - even if you are using the Blinker Genie along with the OEM turn signal lamps. It is important to note that the Blinker Genie effectively removes the operated lamp(s) from the turn signal circuit, as the Blinker Genie powers them through the running light circuit instead of the turn signal circuit. This is detected as a bulb burned out by most motorcycles, and a fast-blink rate results.
The Blinker Genie only imposes a 2W load on the blinker circuit itself. Please consider replacing your flasher relay with one of our Electronic LED Flasher Relays (preferred) or use an appropriate Load Equalizer instead (second method).
Installation of the Blinker Genie is represented in the illustration below. Read the downloadable installation instructions below thoroughly for additional installation information.

In order to properly utilize the Blinker Genie on most Honda Motorcycles, the left and right running light wires (blue/white stripe and orange/white stripe) must be interconnected together and connected to both red input wires on the Blinker Genies.
The reason is because the running light circuit that powers the front signal lamps cuts off completely on the side that the turn signal is activated, and stays off until the turn signal is canceled. This causes the Blinker Genie to not work properly as the Blinker Genie is designed to draw all power from the red input wire, and requires power at all times that the ignition is on.
When installing the Blinker Genie on your motorcycle, it is highly recommended that you also replace your flasher relay to maintain the normal blink rate.
These accessories are recommended specifically for the Blinker Genie - for Motorcycles (pair) based on wiring compatibility, related functionality, and common upgrade options. Click any item to learn more.
