Integrated LED Tail Lights
If you own a car or a motorcycle, you may want to be visible and drive safely in any weather conditions or at night. If this is the case, at Custom LED, we manufacture high quality Integrated LED tail lights that perfectly fit the purpose.
What is an Integrated Tail Light?
The standard OEM tail light on motorcycles is typically just a red running light, and a red brake light. The turn signals are usually located on a separate fender assembly which supports the license plate and two yellow/amber turn signal lamps - left and right turn signal. An Integrated Tail Light is one that has the turn signal function built into the tail light housing itself.
Custom LED is a pioneer of the art and science of motorcycle tail light integration. Our Blaster-X tail lights are designed to provide increased visibility for running light, brake light and turn signals. Our tail lights are much brighter than the OEM factory tail lights that they replace. Furthermore, our microprocessor based technology provides for reliable and maximum illumination out of the high-quality LEDs that we use on our integrated tail light circuit boards.
Aside from the super bright integrated turn signals, our Blaster-X Integrated LED tail lights feature advanced safety features light a built-in 10 pattern brake modulator, turn alert and strobe-mode.
How does a tail light work?
Whenever you turn on your headlights, the tail lights located at the back of your vehicle will also turn on. They are in most of the cases red colored and placed inside a hard, waterproofed casing to prevent accidental damage of the bulb or due to adverse weather conditions or humidity.
You do not have to worry about turning on the tail lights since these are relays based activated and wired to the same switch as the headlights. If you own a fully automated system, the lights will turn on when your vehicle is on, and the ambient light is diming below an established trash hold.
Is LED light better?
In general, an LED light is better when compared to traditional incandescent or fluorescent light considering several aspects:
- High energy efficiency: an LED light is wasting only 5% of the energy consumed as heat, converting 95% of it into the light
- Environmental friendly: there are no toxic elements in an LED tail light comparing with regular bulbs which may contain mercury or noxious gases
- Fewer lights needed, having a better focus and light distribution
- Up to 6 times longer life span when compared to traditional incandescent or gaseous bulbs
With the recent development of semiconductors and deployment to commercial applications, the integrated LED tail lights are becoming a more popular choice for vehicles. LED lights are more and more an economical option when comparing to traditional bulbs, considering that LEDs are using a smaller amount of energy and last longer.
Are LED lights allowed on motorcycles and cars?
If the beam projected by the LED tail light allows you to see between 50 to 100 meters, they are in general road legal. However, whether LED lights are legitimate or not varies from state to state, and we, as a specialized and authorized manufacturer, can advise you on the matter.
You have to remember that head and tail lights are a safety feature of your vehicle and you want them to be bright enough to be visible, but not too much that they blind other drivers on the road. There are specific rules that apply to your vehicle lights, and our specialists can always advise you regarding the best product to fit your motorcycle.
